The Peconic Cafe is now partially open.

The cafe is open part-time. Until the end of the semester, the hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

The cafe officially opened on Wednesday, November 16. 

The cafe has a new Manager of Dining Services and Catering, Aaron Jacino, who began work on November 14^th. Mr. Jacino has been meeting with Student Government Association to develop a menu catered to students.

Currently, and until the end of this semester, the cafe is serving “grab-and-go” food items – easily prepared food such as muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, assorted wraps, and fruit cups. The cafe will likely be offering hot, prepared food beginning in the spring semester.

In terms of future plans, in the spring 2023 semester the cafe will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays.

Denny Teason, Director of Campus Activities, says, “I’m excited that [the cafe] is opening and hope that students enjoy it.”
