Election Day: A Reminder to Vote

     Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. Early Voting will be taking place every day starting Saturday, October 29 and continuing through Sunday, November 6. 

     Statewide positions on the ballot include Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General, and U.S. Senator. County positions include U.S. Representative, the 10th District of the New York Supreme Court, County Clerk, and County Comptroller.

     There will be two proposals on the ballot, one statewide and the other (Suffolk) county specific. The statewide proposal, called the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022, would allocate $4.2 billion towards the mitigation of climate change and the preservation of the environment in New York. The county specific proposal, Resolution No. 462-2022, would place term limits of 12 years on the positions of County Executive, County Legislator, and County Comptroller.
